if savings are held as real estate, the beast feeds off property taxes

if savings are held as stocks, the beast feeds off income taxes at the corporate and individual level

if savings are held as btc, but an active trading strategy is used, the beast feeds off capital gains taxes

if savings are held as btc and is merely hodl’d, the beast receives no sustenance
